Waynesboro Area School District believes strongly in the importance of daily reading! Summertime offers a wonderful opportunity to participate in various reading opportunities throughout the community! Reading to and with your child will not only help maintain reading skills and strategies learned in school, but will provide enrichment through the exploration of both real and imaginary worlds within books!
Check out this handout for more information!
Included you will find a Summer Reading Bingo card, suggested book lists by grade level, and a list of dates that the Franklin County Bookmobile will be stopping by Fairview and Summitview during lunch hour. On June 18 WASD's Assistant Superintendent Dr. Todd Dishong will be a featured guest reader on the Bookmobile!
Also included within the handout are links to summer programs hosted by Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Public Library, The Institute, and Blue Ridge Summit Library!
Enjoy summer and all that Waynesboro has to offer!
